Hello Banana!

We tried introducing banana in S's diet today and the frequency of him pooping dropped drastically, from thrice a day to once, and that once was in the wee hours of the night. I was really surprised at the sight of his poop after he tried solid food. Instead of the usual watery poop, I saw long solid poop. Really wanted to take a picture to mark this milestone that he had achieved but my tiredness in the middle of the night just discouraged that idea. Maybe next time alright!

Don't be too worried if pooping frequency fluctuates when you change your little ones' diet. His digestive system is just adapting to it. I'm gonna experiment with more solid food!

To be honest I was on the verge of freaking out when I didn't see any poop that day. But, stay cool mums, trust your instinct. Most of the time if baby isn't feeling any discomfort and crying uncontrollably, he should be alright.

Look at my cheeky little boy sticking his face to mine.
Everyday is a happy day!

Being a Mum

Motherhood is simply amazing. My baby, Sheldon, is now 5 months and 10 days old and I just saw a little tooth peeping out of his lower gum today. The past few months have been the happiest time of my life and I know it can only get better. People say you'll never have time for yourself again after you have a baby but it's all worth it. If you are also a mum you'd know how I feel. The blissfulness of seeing that little human being grow up each day since the very day he was born is just beyond words.

I've learnt how to cope with mummy duties, a breaking back and heavy eyelids concurrently. Breastfeeding during the period when S was experiencing growth spurts was the most stressful and exhausting part at the very beginning. Fortunately, my breaking-back has more or less recovered, inspired by my elder sis who is a Pilates master and also a new mum who did Pilates daily during her pregnancy and even confinement period. She doesn't get achy backs and that's why I've been practising Pilates diligently too. In Indonesia, I have a helper tagged to me where ever I go with S. It really helps a lot with her around. Just some insights, I'm a Singaporean residing in Indonesia as my hubby, A, works here. Naturally, I went back to Sg to give birth. S and I are finally back to reunite with Daddy Dearest since S is old enough and safe to travel. Our reunion is really good, with S being able to have lots of bonding time with Daddy and I getting the chance to whip up dishes for my dearest hubby. I'm still in the process of becoming a pro wife and mum.

Mums-to-be and new mums out there do follow me in my journey as a mum. I believe that these experiences should be shared so that confused and paranoid mums, like how I was previously, will be able to experience motherhood in the most enjoyable way.
